COME CREATE WITH US!
We are excited to offer a host of creative classes for those that live in the Midland, Michigan and surrounding areas.
We a wonderful classroom space for you to learn in. We have 6 sewing machines and 3 sergers available for student use. If you do not yet own a machine and want to reserve one for a class, please be sure to state this at the time of class registration.
Our classes are usually limited in size so that we can give each student the attention they need to complete the projects beautifully. Please be sure to register early to be sure you hold a spot.
If we do not meet the minimum class enrollment number for a given class, we reserve the right to cancel the class. In the unlikely event that this happens, we will work to reschedule the class or refund your money.
Note: Material lists are provided in the store. You will receive your list at the time of registration, along with your 10% off coupon that you can use to purchase regular priced fabric, patterns and supplies for the class.

Create a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pillow cover and learn basic patchwork techniques. The Log Cabin block is a classic and is ideal for a 1st time patchwork project. Pillow covers will be made to fit a pillow form that you bring to class. Please bring a 16- or 18-inch square pillow form.

Amy's Sandlewood Jacket design is simple yet stylish. Students will create this reversible jacket in one of 3 lengths. Prior sewing experience is required for this class. This class requires the purchase of the sewing pattern in addition to the fabric and supplies needed.
Basic Strip Pieced Quilt Class

This is a great quilt class for 1st time quilt makers. Students will learn the basics of selecting fabric combinations, cutting fabric strips and piecing them together to create a beautiful yet simple quilt top. Students also learn to bind, outline quilt and bind their quilts, creating a truly one-of-a-kind treasure.
Note: Depending on the size of the quilt being made, some homework is required.
3-Tiered Skirt Class

In this class, students will learn to create this classic wardrobe staple for little girls. Mix and match fabrics to create a treasure your girl will enjoy wearing and be tickled that mommy or grandmom made it for her!
Prior sewing experience is needed for this class. Skills learned included hemming, creating elastic waistbands and gathering. Sergers are provided so that students can create finished items that are beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

My Strip Pieced Patchwork Tote Bag is a simple to assemble, yet stylish bag, perfect for beginner to intermediate sewers. Prior sewing experience is a bonus for this class, but beginners are welcome. Students will learn basic patchwork and sewing techniques while creating a gorgeous and unique handmade tote bag.
Simple Patchwork Quilt Class
Date: Monday, February 20 and 27, 2011 (this is a 2-session class!)

Learn the basics of patchwork cutting and piecing while creating a one-of-a-kind quilt! Students will have the option of making a baby, twin or full sized quilt top. Students making larger quilts may need to do some work at home in order to complete their project by the end of the class. We will work together to select fabrics for your quilt. Or, this would be a great opportunity to bring in those old t-shirts to make a t-shirt memory quilt!
